A Case of Myxoma in the Zygoma

We present a case of a 62-year-old woman with myxoma of the zygoma. There was no clinical sign except abnormal feeling of left buccal region. Computed tomography showed a well-defined low density lesion in the left zygoma with a deficit of cortical bone. The tumor measuring 1.3×1.0×1.0 cm was surgically removed under general anesthesia, and was translucent white with a smooth surface and soft consistency.
Histopathological findings showed myxoma with no signs of malignancy. As myxoma rarely has a capsule and invades the adjacent bone, the bone surface was sufficiently shaved using a surgical burr. There has been no evidence of recurrence for 19 months postoperatively.
