ZEPELIN® Ophthalmic Solution in Patients with Pollinosis

      Sixty percent of allergic rhinitis patients develop allergic conjunctivitis, especially patients diagnoised with cedar pollinosis. The method of treatment prescribed by otolaryngologists has been ZEPELIN® ophthalmic solution with results showing marked improvement.
      1. Objective: To determine the treatment and follow-up care of patients with allergic conjunctivitis.
      2. Patients: All patients were evaluated for itchiness of the eye before and after applying ZEPELIN® ophthalmic solution using the visual analogue scale (VAS)
      3. Results: The average age of patients in the study was 46.2 years. Forty-one patients were given anti-allergy medicine and 24 patients were given a steroid nasal spray. Patients given ZEPELIN® ophthalmic solution showed marked improvement in allergic conjunctivits.
      4. Conclusions: The
ZEPELIN® ophthalmic solution is considered a safe and effective treatment of allergic conjunctivits for the otolaryngologist.
