- Fee: 400yen for Adult, 200yen for child, free for baby. There is a free parking for a car.
- Access: Ryoanji-mae busstop by City Bus No.59. Ritsumeikan-University-mae busstop by City Bus No.50,55.
- Comments: Established in 1405(Houtoku 2). The tmples were burnt at Ohnin-no-ran(The war of Ohniin) in 1797(Kansei 9). The present Hojo(residence) was moved from Saigen-in Temple.
The temple belongs to the Myoshinji Group of Rinzai Zen sect Buddhism.
- This temple is vary famous for its remarkable Zen garden.
- Zen garden.
- The simple garden has only 15 rocks and white gravel in the arena which is 30m from east to west and 10m from south to north. This symbolistic expression is one of the Japanese caracteristic structuers of architectural consepts.
- The walls are made of clay boiled in oil. The oil is seeped out and give the walls natural design.
