KOKOZU (International Designers Association)
International Designers Association was founded in 1953 as a private organization of fabric-dying designers based in Kyoto and Osaka. Currently with 32 members, we are introducing our collections, taking the opportunity presented by way of the biannual exhibition held at Business Innovation Center Osaka. The exhibition can also be utilized as a venue for an exchange of business ideas through conversation. Quite a few companies individually provide business opportunities, and a wide variety of designs in the forms of curtains, carpets, bedding and the like, have been produced up to now. As well as for a flat-surfaced product, we cover the design for three-dimensional goods such as a thermos flask, mug or mobile phone. Saying “it is possible to create designs for anything in a designer’s world, be it for a two-dimensional or three-dimensional surface,” we are widely expanding our activities beyond the field of textile.
