The customs and manners of SHICHI GO SAN before Meiji Era used to be different from place to place. For example, there were differences of ages of children, between boys and girls, and a day of a pilgrimage to shrine.
Although the customs and manners are getting uniformly, there still be some differences. In Kyoto, all the days of November is supposed to be a day of SHICHI GO SAN, not only November 15.
