A new women's hair style that may come into fashion in Kyoto this year (See below).

This hair style is made from Kagami-mochi.
Kagami-mochi consists of two mochis (rice cakes).
During the Oshogatsu (from January 1 to 15), it is offered to the gods in thanks and to pray for good harvest of the year, and is placed on the Toko-no-ma (an alcove of the main room of the house) with a tangerine on its top. (Photo below )
