A right use of KOI-NOBORI.
On April 27, in 1955.
Ippei Muromachi and his wife Yone (both are fictitious names) bought new KOI-NOBORIs (cylindrical streamers that are designed as carp) to celebrate the first Boys Festival of their son, Mamesuke.
When the couple took the KOI-NOBORIs out of the box, Mamesuke who hadn't been able to crawl before began crawling, and crawled slowly to the KOI-NOBORIs.
His parents were surprised and very much pleased.
Mamesuke reached at the KOI-NOBORIs. And next, he went into the mouth of the biggest KOI-NOBORI and crawled through its inside. (Of course, it is not a right use of KOI-NOBORI.)
When Mamesuke came out of the tail of the KOI-NOBORI, his parents were terribly surprised and screamed in a terror. Mamesuke had transformed into a carp!
Soon after, Carp Mamesuke went through the KOI-NOBORI in the opposite direction, and appeared out of its mouth, as a human baby.
It is said that this is the first magic of Great Juggler Muromachitei Mamesuke in his life.
What a surprise!

TANGO-NO-SEKKU
May 5 is TANGO-NO-SEKKU (Boys Festival and an Iris Festival) in Japan.
On the day, to celebrate growth of boys, we fly KOI-NOBORIs from a mast standing out of the house, and eat CHIMAKI (a cake wrapped in a bamboo leaves) or KASHIWA-MOCHI (a rice cake wrapped in an oak leaf).
In passing, Girls Festival (HINA-MATSURI) is held on March 3.
Will there be Gay Boys Festival and Lesbian Girls Festival someday?
