In the spring, 1997, an old woman was running around Kyoto City to collect various 'PriKura' seals. ('PriKura' is an instant photo-seal making machine that is super popular among teenaged girls notorious as 'KO-GYARU'. Now lots of manufacturers produce their own PriKura machines.)
The name of the woman was Purin Nishijin (A fictitious name. 86 years old). Her husband was dead 2 years ago, and she was living with her son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.
Her son wondered what made her run for PuriKura.
'Mom, what happened to you?'
He asked, but she didn't answer. Just smiled.
On a Sunday, at dusk.
Purin suddenly said to her family,
'My son, my daughter, and my grandchildren. Get along with each other.'
Then she went out of house, bringing a notebook affixed 888 PuriKura seals of 111 patterns to. Her son and daughter were upset and ran after her.
Purin was standing on a white graveled path in Kyoto Imperial palace.
She held the notebook up over her head. She looked so serious that her children couldn't speak to her.
Far above Purin, they found something silver coming down. It stopped at 10 meters above her. Yes, it was a Flying Saucer. A Flying Saucer with a diameter of 20 meters!
Purin smiled happily to her children.
'Mom!'
Her children dashed to her, but invisible wall obstructed them.
From the bottom of the Flying Saucer, a white beam was radiated. The beam took the notebook up from Purin's hands into its flying body.
A high-pitched voice from the Flying Saucer said,
'888 PuriKura seals of 111 patterns just as we asked. OK, it's our turn to grant your request.'
The Flying Saucer radiated a golden light. In the light, Purin was becoming younger and younger, and at last, became a KO-GYARU dressed with the latest fashion. Her children were in openmouthed astonishment.
From the Flying Saucer, a small card dropped to KO-GYARU Purin, and the voice said,
'A magic credit card of the Galaxy Republic corporation. You can afford all of your life with this.'
KO-GYARU Purin jumped with joy, thanked to the Flying Saucer, said good-bye to her children with KO-GYARU words, and then ran joyfully to a beautiful sunset.
