TamagotCha
(May 8, 1997)

A portable computer game 'Tamagotch'(Produced by BANDAI) has been booming in Japan for these 5 months. It is a kind of simulation game in which a player brings up an imaginary creature, 'Tamagotch'.

Key Pages to 'Tamagotch' (Sorry, Japanese only)

Yahoo! JAPAN 's Page about 'Tamagotch'

Now, I'll show you a recipe for a new cocktail, 'TamagotCha'.
'Tamago' means 'egg', and 'Cha' means 'tea' in Japanese.
And as you guess, I was inspired by 'Tamagotch' although I have never played the game.

  1. Make a cup of strong tea and cool it.
(I used a Japanese green tea of Uji in Kyoto. But black tea, matte, oo-long tea, herb tea, and any other kind of teas can be used.)
  2. Cool an egg yolk.
!!WARNING!!@Use a safe and fresh egg only!!
  3. Cool a white spirit of dry taste.
(I used Awamori of Okinawa. But gin, vodka, white rum, tequila, and any other kind of white spirits can be used.)
  4. Beat the cooled egg yolk.
  5. Into a glass, pour the cooled tea and cooled spirit at a one-one ratio, put in the beaten egg yolk, stir them quickly.
  6. UkiUki Cocktail 'TamagotCha' is completed.
  7. If you like, please put a slice of a boiled egg on the glass.

(The taste of 'TamagotCha' is ...... a secret! Sorry!!)
