Established in 1974, we are a small, privately run school directed toward the teaching of Japanese, from Basic to Advanced levels and aiding and directing individual research programs, as well as promoting adult education seminars for both Japanese and foreign residents. The school is centrally located in an old Kyoto house and classes are held in tatami rooms. There is space available for students to relax and study any time of the day and an extensive library free for all students. The staff members are professional instructors, all experienced in teaching Japanese to non-natives. They are fluent in English, although speaking in Japanese as much as possible is encouraged.
