It was about a meter long.
The head was Ninja. Had a cherry blossom tattoo on the middle of the forehead. The eyes were dove's, the legs were dog's, and the body was firefly's.
Fluttering its wings, it glared at...
I'm afraid that if you can't believe such a monster appeared in Japan in 1996. But it is needless to say how important it is to admit a fact as the fact. 65 people were attacked by the monster, and 64 of them were damaged by it.
The first victims were two University students, Ryuichi Niwa and Kyoko Shibata (both fictitious names).
In the morning of April Fool, they were walking along Philosophers' Lane looking for signs of spring.
Unusually, winter was still staying, and the buds of the cherry trees were still tight. But it was enough for them. They could enjoy the elegance and wabi beauty, longing for the spring arrival.
On a small bridge down of Ho-nen-in Temple, Niwa and Shibata took a rest leaning on a parapet.
They stood side by side, and looked out over the canal.
In a few minutes, all walkers passed away, and romantic atmosphere grew between the two.
Then, it came.
Suddenly it appeared before them, and the romance changed into a terror! The monster was fluttering its wings in the air.
Its haunch was glimmering yellow.
Because of its dove's eyes the two couldn't guess what the monster was thinking, it was certain that it was glaring at them.
In a panic, Niwa implored Shibata for help, but Shibata was also terrified.
The monster said in a low voice through the Ninja-mask,
'OTHERS.'
The two only shuddered, could not even scream.
The monster said again,
'OTHERS.'
The two just shuddered ,shuddered, shuddered.
The monster's light became shocking pink. The two felt their sights getting warped, hearing the monster saying,
'Ninja trick! Go down to the canal!...'
