Table-4 Public support system for privately housing
Until now, Japanese housing policies emphasized housing supply with public management, on apartment houses constructed by Japanese Housing Corporation, and on financing by housing loan corporations. However, reconsideration, of propriety of laying stress on new supply and problems of rolesharing by citizen, has been attempted. Various systems have been established to supply good rental housing for those in the middleincome bracket, in particular. They are aid projects by public agencies to promote the supply of good rental housing, though there are various styles. They are not only assistance to the sufferers of the disaster who do not qualify for disaster public housings, and for whom private market rent is too high, but also supplement to the number of units in disaster public housing. There are 4 systems now to assist private rental housing in Kobe City.
(1)Disaster Reconstruction Specified Excellent Rented Housing Supply Promotion System
(2)Privately Leased Rented Housing System
(3)Specified Rental Housing Construction Financing Interest Supply System
(4)Housing Corporation Specified Sold Housing for Rent Management by Private Sector System (It would be interesting to learn more about these 4 programs.)
