Sakuji Kuruma (A fictitious name.39 years old. Shimogyo Ward.) was astonished at what he saw on a small street of Gion area.
The face was human's, the body was lion's, and the wing was eagle's.
Yes, it was a Sphinx!! (Below photo)
Kuruma tried to remember a answer that could help himself from a famous fearful riddle of a Sphinx, that is,
Walks on 4 feet in the morning, 2 feet in the day time, 3 feet in the evening.but he couldn't.
What is it?
Kurama took a picture above in a panic when the Sphinx said,
'After building a French-style bridge over Kamo-gawa river that the Kyoto City Office is planning, build a big statue of me in an Imperial Palace or you shall die!'
Now Kuruma is afraid of the complition of the bridge.

The bridge is an imitation of a bridge in Paris. Both Kyoto and Paris are historical city, so the bridge will suit the City, they think.
