Through a newly designed picture word format - Stimu-Con
Usage Games - it is now possible for learners to be
able to choose the appropriate word, phrase, or sentence in a
given situation (as language users constantly do in everyday
life).
If we look at this method from the point of view of a learner
with no previous knowledge of the foreign language, fluency
in speech would begin with an introduction to the elements
of grammar, vocabulary, and mini-dialogues embedded in clear,
picture-word contexts. Learners, in time, gradually generate
sentences of their own (derived from their knowledge of grammar),
which in practical terms means learners are able to speak more.
